Soon, the bell rang three times, and Teacher Zhang finally stopped lecturing and left with a satisfied look. The students heaved a sigh of relief. Looking around, they found that the unfinished tasks had piled up like a mountain. The good time had been wasted, and a sense of resentment filled their hearts. Although they understood that the teacher had the intention of nurturing the students and hoped to impart all her knowledge to promote their smooth progress in learning, by ignoring the opportunity for independent study, it was just like pulling up seedlings to help them grow, deviating from the true purpose of education.

In education, one should guide according to the nature of students and maintain a proper balance. Classroom teaching is indeed fundamental, but independent study during self-study time is equally important. Only by making the two complement each other can outstanding talents be cultivated in schools and great achievements in learning be attained. May teachers take this as a lesson and never again encroach on the students' evening self-study time, allowing the numerous students to swim freely in the sea of knowledge.
